Way to long!

Oh my gosh has it been way to long since I have written. I really have no excuse. I mean exept for the usual stuff like work. Over a month ago waas the last time I wrote and that to me is way to long. I will never do that again I promise!There has been a lot going on in my life and a lot of things yet to come so I will just give you a few of the highlights.

In the begining of April I had the great privlage of seeing the famous globe trodders. Let me tell you they put on a fantastic show. Its mostly geared towards kids but they know how to get all who attend involved and interested in whats going on. The family that I look after in the evening was able to attend as well and when I asked them what they liked about the show they said that they liked it when the dumped water on me. The little things that amuse kids.

At Easter I was able to go to my parents house where my entire family was there. It was great to have the whole family together. That dose not happen to much these days as our famil is getting bigger and everyone is getting busyer. Our family did not fail at having fun! There was games, making easter bunny out of snow and of course hockey. It was truly a fun weekend held by all.

One of my best friends got married last weekend and has now moved on to her new life. I was able to do a bridal shower for her a few days before her weeding. There was a pretty good turnout and what I liked the best is that there were only two games. To me bridal showers should be short and sweet. Thats the way I like them. I am getting to be such a pro as I have done so many of them. I should start charging people and make so money. Ha Ha! Her wedding went really well. She was really nervous as I am sure I would be to. She insited on me being there all day so I taged along and got some good pictures. It was a very long day that started at 12pm and did not end till 9pm. That is to long for me. I want my weeding to be short and sweet just like the bridal shower. I know I am weird.

So those are a few of my highlights! I have some really excited things coming up in my life so stay tuned! I have a few pictures to show of the things that I have been doing!

Weddings, Family, and Movies!

Do you ever wonder why things happen to you well I have come to the knowledge that every thing that happens to us in life is for a reason. This is probably not new to most of you but for my self it is a new realization. There has been a lot of things happen to me over the last little while, some have been good and some bad and I am very grateful for everything that has come my way.

I was able to spend some wonderful time with my family this weekend. One of my cousins got married and so my parents and one of my brothers made the trip down for the weeding. I am not a huge fan of weddings as a lot of you must know but I was quite happy with the way this one went. My cousin got married and then right after had her reception. This I think is one of the smartest things to do. For the reception she just had a dinner no program or any thing else. People could leave if they wanted to or stick around. I thought it was a great idea.

I was able to watch my nephew this weekend play some basketball. He is in grade three and I thought it was quite funny how serious the parents were with there kids for them to win. However my nephew did quite well. Something I have to look forward to I guess when I have children. Don't worry that is not any time soon! HA HA

Speaking of children there will be a new addition to my family as my sister in law from Edmonton is pregnant. Are family keeps growing which is a wonderful thing! I wonder if this will be a girl or a boy she informed me that she was not going to find out. We have no granddaughters as of yet just grandsons so we shall see.

My roommate and I tend to always watch movies on Sunday and this Sunday I had the great privilege of watching two really good movies. The first one was A knights tale. This one of my roommates favorite movies and I can see why. Lots of comedy, action and a little bit of romance. Who could ask for anything more. I was able to watch a great church movie tonight that I thought was very well done. I don't like a lot of church movies as I find the acting is not very good but I was very impressed with this one, its called Anxiously Engaged. Not your typical Mormon movie but in my opinion very well done.

Pressing forward!

It is now march and I can't believe how fast this month has gone by. I have not wrote any thing in a while and for good reason. My boss of my second job fired the other girl that works for them in February. So for the last couple of weeks I have been doing double shifts. It wouldn't be so bad I think if they were not all in a row. On the nights that I am not working which are few I am usually to tired to write or I am trying to catch up with friends who I never see anymore.

There has been a lot going on in my life besides work if you can believe it. Not that long ago I guess it would be a week and a half ago I had the not so good privilege of getting into a car accident. Yes my baby that I just bought not that long ago. Just when you get something nice It has to get recked. I have been in a lot of pain from the accident but am very lucky to not have to much damage to my car.

On to a happier note I have been able to attend some hockey games lately,and some bull riding which is always a good time! I was also able to attend a very awesome talent show last weekend that the young adults in lethbridge put on. Last Saturday I went to a cousins bridal shower and then had to work of course. Then on Sunday My ward had a March party where they got this lady in the stake who writes songs and has a c.d. out to do a fireside. It was so awesome, every song was very inspirational and very beautiful to listen to. So with my crazy work schedule I have been very blessed to participate in many wonderful things over the last little while.

Today was a little unusual as I took one of my clients to Calgary to the Science Center. What a wonderful experience as I have never been there before. My client really liked looking at things with lights or things that moved. It was really neat to see all the things that they had there.

I am continuously pressing forward in my life and with all the many things that get in the way or make it better I am so grateful for what I have and what I have experienced!

Summer will be her before we know it!

Today was a very busy Monday! I woke up today and started my new work out routine with my awesome trainer my roommate. I have never before had a work out routine quite like this. My roommate swims for the swim team at the university and is very familiar with ways to work out. It was only my first day but I am already feeling the affects of it. I don't have a lot of time to go to gym so I have to fit into my life where I can. As most of you remember I am on a diet, which is still going very well. This work out routine will help with that. I just hate getting up in morning but this is the only time I have to do it. My Monday was also filled with a little bit of shopping, bowling and walking outside with the gorgeous weather we have been having lately. I have probable said this a million times but I can not wait for summer!!!

My weekend was awesome! Friday was filled with family, university basketball and a party to end off the night. It was great to be able to do so many things in one night and things that I don't often get to do. Saturday was catch up on laundry as well as having to work for four hours. Sunday was awesome! It was our Ward conference at church. Our Stake President spoke two times and his talks were just wonderful. ?He is so to the point but still brings a little bit of humor as well as the spirit. I was just so impressed I couldn't stop thinking about for the rest of the day. I ended of my Sunday with a visit from some friends and we talked the night away. I just couldn't ask for a better weekend!!!

I have to give you all a movie review because you know that I love to. So a week ago I went to see the new movie Bride Wars. I love romantic comedies but this movie just didn't cut it for me. I didn't find it funny at all. The storyline was very predictable and it just didn't do anything for me. I know that there are probable lots of you out there that would disagree with me but I was just not impressed.

That is pretty much it for right now. Remember to get your tennis racquet's ready for summer will be upon us before we know it!!!

On the upward path!

So I know that I have not wrote since January and I apologize. I can't really make excuses any more because it will always be the same thing work, work, work! This is pretty much my excuse for anything now days. So if you don't see me of hear from me it is because I am working really this is all I pretty much do these days.

Life as I know it is on an upward path. I have recently added a new addition to my family. No it is not a child. I have a brand new car. It is quite lovely if I do say so my self. My other car was great for the time period that I had it for but in the last two years I had put a lot of money into that car and it was making some bad noises when I got rid of it. I am just happy to not have to worry about fixing problems for a while.

Tonight I had the great privilege of having the night off. Some of my coworkers and I went out for sushi. Wonderful food! I had also the great privilege of going to my institute class where it had a lot of great topics as well as I got to sit beside a really great guy that made the class a lot more interesting. Not that the class is not interesting it just spices it up a little bit. Don't you agree that everyone needs spice in there lives now and again.

Oh and I almost forgot I have recently booked a ticket with some friends to go to New York! Its not till May but I am so excited and scared at the same time. There is so much to see and do there that we won't be able to see everything but none the less it will be a lot of fun!

I am fighting a cold right not but I just cant help and think of all thing things that are good in my life right now and not complain.

Snow,Snow,Snow!

Welcome everyone two the year of 2009. The year 2008 had a lot of good memories in it and I can't wait for more great experiences.

My Christmas and New years was a great holiday. Christmas was spent at my parents house this year with most of my families attendence. There was great games and a whole lot of family fun! New years was spent with a few friends playing games and eating lots of food. This is what I like about holidays is that there is always a huge supply of food. Turkey dinner has always been my favorite and my mom did a fabouls job this year.

Work before christmas was crazy with me working 14 hour days right up till christmas, and has not slowed down yet. Tonight I have the night off and well deserved. This winter has been crazy with all the amount of snow that we have gotton. The city of Lethbridge dose not know how to deal with it all. My pore car has gotton stuck three times now. I am very greatfull for every time I have gotton stuck there has been somone to take time out of there day to come and help me. The problem is that the snow melts because of the chinooks that Lethbridge gets and that is when the roads should be plowed but there not and people get stuck because there car can't get through it. On the radio the other day the city said that they are all ready way over budget with snow removal, but I can't see how that is when only the main roads are plowed. Any ways that is my rant for the day.

So here is a movie review for you because I always have one. So I am not a fan of dogs at all but the movie "Charlie and Me" renewed my faith. This movie will touch you in so many ways. It is a comedy and a drama. Lets put it this way I have never cried in a movie theater before for any movie and this movie made me cry. There was just no way of holding in the tears. So there you go a must see!

Lets hope a third time dose not come!

I didn't have to work this weekend so I spent 90% of my time in doors. The weather was just to cold and the roads were horrible. There was just not time to ease into this cold weather it was just thrown on us like a water balloon falling from a balcony. I know that sounds silly but it was the only thing I could think of.

This cold weather has payed a toll on me already and not just because it is cold outside. On Sunday my roommate and I were on our way to church as usual when she turned a corner to fast and spun around and then landed in a snowbank on the side of the road. A very nice gentleman jumped out to help us but we couldn't get the car out and he decided to go get some chains from home to help get us out. Well while he was gone some nice gentlemen from my church drove by and imminently stopped by to help us and right away we were pulled out of the snow bank. We were very lucky as there was no damage to the car or to our selves.

On Sunday night I went to start my car because it hadn't been on all weekend. Well I took off the automatic key lock thing so that I could leave it running locked. Well when I went to try to unlock it, it wouldn't work. I had no idea where my second set of keys were and I got very frustrated. My roommate and I tried everything we could think of to get that car open and nothing worked. I finally gave up and called the lock smith. He was not able to come because he was so busy, so I called AMA. They took an hour to get there because they were so busy. When the guy finally came to save me he said that my car was the third one that night that locked there keys in there car.

Monday morning I went to work as usual. Well I thought my automatic key lock was broken because it didn't work the night before so I took my door key off and put it on a different key chain so that I wouldn't be able to lock my keys in my car again. I park my car at work and lock it to look inside and realize that the key chain with my car door key was in the car. So not only once did I lock my keys in my car but tow times. I immediately call the locksmith again to come and save me. I did not learn my lesson. For the rest of the day I was able to not lock my keys in my car and hope to never do it again.

My Deer roommate is off the the warm destination of Florida. Her swim team will be there till after new years. I already feel a little lonely. I am sure I will get through it. I will miss her dearly.
